APPLYING FOR AN EXHIBITION
The Exhibition Committee of the Kotka Photographic Centre decides for the exhibitions.
This Committee makes its choices once a year. Some of the exhibition times is reserved for displaying Photographic Centre´s own productions, international exhibitions and cultural exchange projects.
An Exhibition period is about 4 weeks and includes the time required to mounting and dismounting the exhibition. In 2009, the fee for exhibiting at the Kotka Photographic Centre is €450 (for members €300) which covers the design and printing of 100 exhibition invitations and 20 posters.
It also covers the postage of the invitations based on Kotka Photographic Centre´s own mailing list. We also send at least 400 e-mail messages for potential visitors.
Kotka Photographic Centre take care of a distribution of the posters and other communications and promotions activities. The Photographic Centre is not supporting financially the opening of the exhibition. Kotka Photographic Centre insures the art pieces for their material costs during the period of the exhibition.
The exhibitor(s) is responsible for the transportation of the works and his/her/their own travel expenses and if desired, more comprehensive insurance during the exhibition.
The Kotka Photographic Centre and the exhibitor(s) are jointly responsible for mounting and dismounting the exhibition.

EXHIBITON HALL
The Kotka Photographic Centre is located in the center of Kotka, just few steps from Railway Station and Old Harbour, in the beautiful historical Vuorelankulma building.
The Gallery which is located on the first floor of this building founded 1927, comprises three rooms
with a total surface area of 160 square meters. The heights of the first two rooms are 3,9m and the third room height is 2.8m. The floor of the gallery is pale grey mosaic concrete. All walls are white and made by cyproc/plywood and painted concrete. Exhibition installations are pretty easy to make. Running meters suitable for set up the works of art are approximately 55,8m.
